What to expect
The rate is £325 per day from May to September, and £265 per day in the cooler months of April and October for up to eight guests. Friends usually share the cost, making it extra affordable. Lower rates are available for couples and long bookings.
We ask for 20% of the total as a deposit when booking, then the remainder two months before you arrive. There are no other charges.
The villa is NOT suitable for children under the age of 8 and/or those who can't swim. Renting is entirely at your own risk and we do not accept any liability for the safety of people who stay here.
We trust our guests to stay responsibly. Above all, we ask you to leave the place as you'd wish to find it (except for bedding laundry).

There are beds for up to eight people, and two spare mattresses. The maximum number of guests is 10, by special arrangement only.
No, towels and bedding are provided for all guests.
You can't park directly outside, as the villa is off an old narrow walkway next to the castle's walls that is too narrow for vehicles. However, there's a spacious car park as you approach the upper village only a few minutes' walk from your front door.
Not yet, but there are plans afoot to install wifi. At the moment, you can get a strong and fast 5G signal in most rooms.
No, because we find everyone tends to talk/play/hang out with each other more without one. And it's more peaceful. :)
Yes, there's a high quality CD/MP3/DAB/radio player in the sitting room.
The villa is perfectly safe for adults and children over the age of 8. The house is rustic and was never designed to be fully child-safe. There are features that could be a potential hazard to little ones, such as stone steps, floors that can get slippery when wet, a swimming pool, and a high terrace.
It certainly helps, as the area is not very touristy and the local people don't all speak English. Many do, however, and those who don't are always friendly and willing to help.
We'll put you in contact with a lovely English friend who lives only a few miles away. She will show you around the house and remain on call (usually via WhatsApp) throughout your stay to answer any questions.
Unfortunately not. There is no disabled access and some staircases may prove challenging for those who use walking aids.
Yes, this villa is ideal for those on sabbatical or similar projects. We'd be happy to discuss your plans and negotiate a discount for longer stays.
